Mission and Vision

Mission

To reduce overconsumption and restore depleted natural resources while optimizing health, wellbeing, and the quality of life.

Vision

To provide local and global resources that contribute to the healing, building, and restoration of individuals, families, communities, and our environment.

Theory, research, and practice are applied to facilitate the recovery of our planet and local-global communities. Individual courses offer the unique experience of depth work, dynamic exchange, and hands-on experientials in local communities and in “natural classrooms,” green-sustainable settings around the world. The Sustainable Life Design and Sustainable Community Design, 1-year certificate programs provide more extensive training to become effective green stewards and change agents. The natural world and all of the Earth’s inhabitants are one organism. It is critical that we develop the ability to consciously co-create a balanced, sustainable lived experience for the renewal/regeneration of the planet and the continued evolution of all resident life.

The Conservatory utilizes individual and community-based methods of inquiry to develop innovative, green strategies for facilitating social, economic, and environmental stewardship via the arts, multimedia, ecopreneurship, science, and technology. Studying the internal and external aspects of our environment provides a comprehensive approach to addressing the multi-layered issues that not only affect the planet’s ecosystems and resources; but, also social-economic development; health and wellbeing; and our quality of life. The inherent relationship between societal structure and consciousness development has far reaching implications in co-creating a sustainable culture that is harmonized with the environment.
